PILOT LAUNCH FAQS
Everything you need to know about using Swoosh during our pilot launch.
Swoosh is a destination-matching platform that connects people already travelling in the same direction. Drivers can share available seats, while passengers can request to join trips that match their destination.
No. Swoosh is not an on-demand ride-hailing service. Drivers post trips they were already planning to make, and passengers join those trips if their destinations align.
Drivers create trips by entering where they’re travelling, when they’re leaving, and the number of available seats. Passengers search for matching trips, send a request to join, and the driver decides whether to accept it.
Anyone with a valid account can register as a passenger or a driver.
The pilot launch is limited to selected areas while we test and improve the platform. More locations will be added over time.
Create an account, complete your driver profile, provide the required vehicle information, and start posting trips.
Search for your destination, choose a suitable trip, send a request, and wait for the driver’s response. Once accepted, you’ll receive confirmation in the app.
Drivers set the price for each available seat before publishing their trip. You’ll always see the price before requesting to join.
During the pilot launch, payments are made directly to the driver by cash or EFT, subject to agreement between the passenger and driver. Do not make an EFT payment before the trip starts.
Yes. Both drivers and passengers can cancel a trip. Cancellation policies may apply depending on when the cancellation is made.
You can continue searching for other matching trips or create your own trip request for drivers to discover.
Yes. Passengers can post trip requests, allowing drivers travelling that route to accept them.
Drivers who accept parcel deliveries can transport small parcels along their planned routes. However, this feature is not currently available during the pilot launch.
We take safety seriously. User profiles, trip information, and in-app communication help build trust between drivers and passengers. We continue improving our safety features throughout the pilot.
Yes. Once a match is confirmed, you can communicate through the in-app chat before your trip.
Use the in-app chat to notify the driver or passenger as soon as possible.
No. You can use Swoosh whenever you need to travel.
Not during the pilot launch. You’ll simply pay for the trips you take.
Yes. Creating an account is free. You only pay when you book a trip.
You can report issues directly through the app or contact our support team.
